Charles' Apple Pie


Charles' Apple Pie

2 Red Delicious and 3 Granny Smith
1/4 C Walnuts
1/4 C Raisins
1/2 Stick of Butter
1/2 C Brown Sugar
1 TB Lemon Juice
1/2 t Mace
1/2 t Cinnamon
1/2 t Cloves
1/2 t Ginger

Slice the apples and toss them in the lemon juice. Then add the spices to the apples. Add the nuts and raisins to the apples, mix well. Then add the sugar and put mixture in a pie crust. Slice butter and stick it in and on top of the apples. Put a top crust on, brush on some cream, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Let pie cool for a couple hours or even sit over night for best flavor.
