Air Pressure Experiment

Color the water to make it easier to see.
Put a candle in the water.
Light the candle.
Cover with a tall glass or jar.
Record observations.


If you did it right, the water rises inside the jar, because the candle burned up all the oxygen and the pressure had to equalize by drawing in the water.
